Imagine  this...

Imagine you are the government, you are standing around on a hot humid day, and you are thirsty, very thirsty. All around you are a bunch of guys, panting and sweating, each carrying their own little jug of water. A bit off to the right over there, is a guy with a tanker truck, full of water, giving out cupfuls to the rest of the thirsty guys. Where are you going to go? You're thirsty. You head for the tanker truck. You ask him for a few gallons to quench your big thirst. He tells you "Piss off, it's  MY water". Well, you're friends with the guy anyway. He gives you water on the side to get you elected. So you turn to the sweating, panting guys with the little jugs of water all around you and tell them "everybody pitch in". And they do.

Let's take a step back now... First off, it makes no sense to take the water from the guys who don't have much anyway. The guy with the tanker truck has more than enough. Instead, you just make the sweaty, panting guys work even harder for yet more water which they get from the tanker guy anyway. That's not right. That's not fair. That's just wrong.

And here is the part where the brainwashing really has you by the balls. I'll bet not a single one of you took issue with the tanker guy saying "it's MY water". That's bullshit. Take another look. Do you see who is filling that tanker? The sweaty, panting  guys. Every one of those guys is working hard, dumping gallons of water into that tanker. Not only are they filling the tanker, they built the tanker too!

The tanker guy can be replaced. Goodbye. Good riddance. Get lost. It is not his water. Someone else, perhaps not such a greedy little twit, will replace the tanker guy. We all know what the tanker guy is going to do with all that water anyway... He’s going to take it with him... to Dubai. Your work. He takes it and leaves! That’s wrong.

So...
